New Job Listing Reveals New Details About The Upcoming Lies of P Sequel

A new job listing has revealed some more details on a new Lies of P sequel by Round 8 Studio.

It has been around a month since a new trademark revealed the name of the Lies of P sequel, and since then, the studio has been silent about what to expect.

Lies of P Sequel

The secret ending of Lies of P has already revealed a dark reimagining of The Wizard of Oz, but what that means for the game’s gameplay structure remains unknown.

However, new details from a job listing found by Insider Gaming have revealed some crumbs about Wonders of O, the supposed title of the Lies of P sequel, thanks to a recent posting from Neowiz. The Character Concept Artist position at Nough Studio confirms a few key details, including that the sequel will be built on Unreal Engine 5 with “top-tier graphics, in-depth level design, and an intense action experience.”

Similar to the first game, it will feature different monsters, weapons, costumes, and accessories.

“Perform various design tasks—including characters, monsters, weapons, costumes, and accessories—based on art direction.” We can likely expect grotesque creations again, as the position requires skilled candidates who can depict diverse “body types.”

The game is also expected to launch on both consoles and PC, as one key requirement asks for experience with PC and console game development. More importantly, it mentions no AI or related tools for art creation, which raised concerns after a controversial job listing appeared some time ago.

In fact, you’ll be happy to know that Neowiz wants to hire developers who share your passion. The job makes a few references to requiring a love for games, especially the Souls-like genre, as an entry point for this position

“- We respectfully decline applications from those who do not like or play games
– Candidates who have played ‘Lies of P’ for at least 30 hours (proof of playtime required)
– Candidates who have completed at least three *Souls-like* games”

Considering this is a concept artist that they are looking for, it makes sense that they would want someone who is deeply familiar with the genre. Most notable is how similar Wonders of O could be to Lies of P in gameplay style. Many were concerned that the backgrounds of Pinocchio and Dorothy were quite different, both in terms of the fantasy world and their roles. Some core details about platforms and the game’s potentially linear level design also match previous rumors and leaks, which builds confidence in the game’s development.
