Behavior Interactive is lining up some kind of Dead by Daylight reveal, and for the last six hours, it has led to tens of thousands of people watching a barely moving teaser image of a cabin in the woods. On Twitch, the Dead by Daylight channel went live, hosting what many thought was a still image of a small windowed cabin in a dark forest, but it quickly became obvious it was a slow-burning video.
In the hours that passed, users picked out almost imperceptible shapes and figures in the distance, called out movement in the trees, and referred to video glitches as surefire signs of what’s coming next to Dead by Daylight.
What’s Coming to Dead by Daylight?
Many have theorized that Behavior Interactive is teasing the imminent arrival of a new killer, and thanks to the setting, they believe it’s something related to Slenderman, or some similar entity.
Here’s the stream, but whether it’s still running or not by the time you see this is another thing entirely:
Dead by Daylight’s tenth anniversary is on the horizon, so it stands to reason that something big will be landing in the survival horror title. Over the last decade, DBD has become a staple of the horror space, pulling in millions of fans and securing a diehard community that happily eats up every new update Behavior Interactive drops.
At one point, a peak of around 37,000 concurrent viewers were watching this ghostly visage unfold, wondering what on Earth the team could be about to reveal.
I’ll tell you this, it’s tough knowing what’s coming and not saying a word!
