CDPR Has Taken ‘Several Years’ To Give Project Hadar a ‘Coherent Vision’

CD Projekt Red has revealed that it has finally begun work on Project Hadar, but it’s still not in pre-production, and it also commented on Sirius.

CD Projekt Red has a lot brewing for fans. Known projects include The Witcher 4, their most ambitious title to date, and a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, which is still a long way off. The team is also cooking up additional projects, including a new IP called Project Hadar, which players learned about in 2022, and a multiplayer title set in the Witcher universe named Project Sirius. Players have recently received updates on both projects.

CD Projekt Red Has Begun Work on Project Hadar, But It’s Not In Pre-Production Yet

In a recent interview with Biznes, MichaÅ‚ Nowakowski, co-CEO of CD Projekt Red, announced that work has officially begun on Project Hadar. He described it as the team’s “biggest undertaking to date” (translated by Google), revealing that it has taken several years to reach this stage. Nowakowski confirmed that the team now has a coherent vision for the world and its key elements, and they have started working on the game. However, he noted that it is not yet in pre-production.

Players were informed earlier this year that the title had “moved on to the conceptual phase of the first video game.” We will have to wait and see how many years it takes to finally get an official reveal for the title.

CDPR Wants To Be ‘Very Careful’ About Showing Off Project Sirius

Nowakowski shared insights into Project Sirius, specifically addressing adjustments to the team size for the multiplayer project set in the Witcher universe. He explained that the main reason for this change is that the team has “grown beyond where they are in the iteration.” Additionally, he noted that since this is the first game of this type they are developing, CD Projekt Red is being particularly cautious about showcasing its features.
