Players should be wary of scam Battlefield 6 links that have appeared on Reddit, which claim to offer a chance to join the game’s battle royale mode as a playtest.
Battlefield 6 has gained enormous popularity since its first beta, and players are yearning to play more of the game. Unfortunately, scammers have started taking advantage of the situation by sending out fake BF6 playtest invites. We saw a similar situation arise on Instagram back in July, and now the same problem has surfaced on Reddit.
Fake Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Playtest Invites on Reddit Will Steal Your Steam Account
Spotted by BFBulletin on X (formerly Twitter), a new post on the r/Battlefield subreddit talks about the latest Battlefield 6 scam links that have appeared as ads on Reddit. The advertisement is a fraudulent playtest invitation that appears to let players join a Steam link to test the game’s recently revealed battle royale mode. However, that is far from the truth, and it is just a ruse to steal the player’s Steam information.
The scam Battlefield 6 advertisement features a fake domain, “ea(dot)6-Battlefield(dot)com“, which redirects to another link, “store(dot)steampowered(dot)joined-playtest(dot)com“. It’s a phishing link, and players should not click on it under any circumstances, as it will instantly steal their Steam account. The scammers have realized that players are eagerly anticipating Battlefield 6’s battle royale mode and are capitalizing on this opportunity.
In other news, Battlefield 6 has received another Limp Bizkit song, ‘Making Love to Morgan Wallen’. Additionally, 15 minutes of BF6’s battle royale gameplay recently leaked online.
