Battlefield 6 fans worldwide can’t wait to get their hands on the upcoming beta, which kicks off for the first time on August 7. On Steam, almost 10,000 players were concurrently sitting on the Battlefield 6 beta on Monday, which likely occurred as pre-load went live and players were testing to see what they could do.
Unfortunately, opening the Battlefield 6 beta doesn’t yield much beyond the settings menu, but that’s great if you’re on PC and want to start tweaking things nice and early.
Battlefield 6 Beta is Taking Over
The Battlefield 6 beta is the talk of the town right now. It starts on August 7 with an ‘early access’ window accessible by those in Battlefield Labs, with an EA Play Pro subscription, or those who secured a code from a streamer during the multiplayer reveal.
In recent weeks, Battlefield 6 has erupted on social and streaming platforms. It has become one of the most highly anticipated games of 2025 with ease and is being seen by many as the potential redemption of the entire franchise, after years of lacklustre releases.
Even as I write this, thousands of players are sitting on Battlefield 6, not doing anything:

This weekend, from August 9 – 11, the Battlefield 6 beta will go open for all comers across all platforms. It’ll likely be the most-watched game on streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube, and it’ll dominate social chatter in the gaming space.
You can pre-load the beta now. It’s not huge (around 40 GB on PC, for instance), but you’ll want to get that done before people start pouring in and the queues start kicking off. It’s inevitable, as this is probably going to be the most popular Battlefield game ever made.
