WARDOGS was sizzlingly hot stuff at launch, and BULKHEAD intends to continue the game’s momentum with future seasons and long-term roadmap plans. Many features have already been lined up, and there’s much more content to come during early access.
Whenever a new game releases in early access, ravenous buyers are keen to know what’s next, even before sampling what we have now. Many developers and publishers understand this, which is why roadmaps are issued. BULKHEAD has been very transparent about the game and WARDOGS updates.
Is There an Official WARDOGS Roadmap?

No, BULKHEAD has not issued a complete WARDOGS roadmap for early access, Season 1, or beyond.
The devs have been nothing but transparent about their shooter since day one. The BULKHEAD YouTube channel features various fly-on-the-wall videos, day-one launch footage, Q&As, and sit-down talks about creative decisions for WARDOGS.

One area which hasn’t been touched on, and feels deliberate, is the idea of a roadmap. With hundreds of thousands of players and the odd issue here and there, I would guess the devs are keen to stabilize the FPS now and ensure the current content works. This doesn’t mean we know nothing about what the team has planned.
All WARDOGS Roadmap Features in Development

BULKHEAD CEO Joe Brammer and other sources have already outlined various plans for WARDOGS in future updates, such as new server features, seasonal resets, and other accessibility features.
We’ve pieced together what we can so far, from Brammer’s X messages to Steam news posts and official YouTube videos.

‘Pipeline’ Features
These are features and improvements that are ‘not yet ready but are in the pipeline’ for the future (thanks to Steam):
- AFK kicking during seeding disabling
- Community server favouriting
- Improved Warmup Activities
- Message of The Day Prompt
- Team Switching Controls
- Tiered priority queues for Community servers
Through social media, Joe Brammer has confirmed that ‘Search by name for servers’ is coming in Season 2, with the CEO adding: ‘It’s so painful, it’s pathetic when we were trying to play together AS DEVS earlier… so we might speed that up.‘
A future update could bring about the server search addition sooner then.
Accessibility
Accessibility features are also on the agenda. Brammer was asked by one X user:
‘Hey @Brammflakes I have a friend that is red-green color blind so blue is the only team he can play without confusing friendlies with enemies. Whats the plans for accessibility features?’
To which Brammer replied that this is also ‘on the plans,’ but not a launch consideration. I imagine the BULKHEAD team has a wishlist longer than a child’s at Christmas, but accessibility features will be a priority to be more inclusive to a wider array of players.
Seasonal Resets
Season 1 is confirmed to be exactly one month. After this, the only thing certain about the length of time between seasons is that there’s no certainty:
It’s going to change in Early Access, season 1 is a month, but then season 2, 3, 4 could be whatever we decide. Developing new content and features is the priority.’
Confirmed Brammer. Live-service games typically implement major updates around the six-to-eight-week mark. WARDOGS is unique in different senses, and it seems its seasonal updates will follow suit.
New Weapons, Vehicles & Rotation
You might be shocked to learn that a live-service shooter with explosive playground elements will be getting new guns and vehicles! Jokes aside, Brammer has confirmed we’ll be getting ‘new weapons and vehicles,’ but WARDOGS will incorporate a Vault element by rotating existing items and tools out to switch up the meta.
There are probably even more details out there, so keep checking back for new WARDOGS content roadmap plans, pipeline additions, and everything else in between.
