The slew of recognisable faces from the world of gaming in Fortnite is poised to increase with the release date of the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts collab finally revealed.
Epic Games has brought a host of iconic franchises and series into Fortnite this season, including the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog and Crash Bandicoot, with Kingdom Hearts set to join the mix.

When is Kingdom Hearts Coming to Fortnite?
The Kingdom Hearts collab will debut in Fortnite on September 17, following seasonal downtime as part of the latest update.
Epic Games’ regular slew of new content often comes alongside significant updates, and the above date is the next on the schedule, following the standard two weeks since the last update.
This means the arrival of Kingdom Hearts won’t just occur as part of a daily Item Shop update, which in turn means you may have to wait a little longer to purchase items in the collab from when the servers are back live.
Full timing details of the Kingdom Hearts’ in-game content and Item Shop additions have not been shared, though it should occur at the standard times.
What’s in The Fortnite x Kingdom Hearts Collab
The Kingdom Hearts collab in Fortnite is set to include both in-game content to enjoy alongside a slew of purchasable items in the Item Shop.
Hints have indicated that four fan-favorite characters from the Kingdom Hearts franchise will be making an appearance in Fortnite, all of which are expected to have a skin available to purchase.
They could also be NPCs on the Fortnite island, joining the current roster of recognizable faces that are encounterable this season, and it’s already been revealed that a Kingdom Hearts weapon is also being added.
