One of the worst-kept secrets in modern gaming has finally been officially revealed, with Ubisoft’s work on Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced now being shared with the world.
The remake of the 2013 title is set to launch in just a few months on July 9, 2026, putting players back in control of Edward Kenway in an adventure across the West Indies during the Golden Age of Piracy.
Naturally, there are questions about particular aspects of the game and whether they will return in Black Flag Resynced, and Insider Gaming has all the details on DLC and multiplayer.
Will Black Flag Resynced Have DLC?

No, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced will not include DLC from the original game, with only the base game being featured.
While excitement for the long-awaited Black Flag remake is high, Insider Gaming reported that no DLC will be included in the title at launch, which was then confirmed in the reveal showcase.

The initial Black Flag title had a slew of DLC, featured in a Season Pass, including the Freedom Cry single-player story expansion, and Blackbeard’s Wrath and Guild of Rogues with multiplayer elements.
However, none of those is included with Black Flag Resynced, which instead just focuses on the core story and exploration of the West Indies during the Golden Age of Piracy.
Will Black Flag Resynced Have Multiplayer?
No, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced will not include any form of multiplayer content, unlike the original game from over a decade ago.
Ubisoft has decided to focus on the single-player and exploration elements of Black Flag, both of which are widely considered to be among the best in the franchise’s history, and has not put any focus on revamping the multiplayer offering.

Multiplayer has only a small part to play in Black Flag, which featured a land-based mode where players hunted each other in character-based, third-person content.
While it was a fun addition to the title, Black Flag’s major selling point will always be the story, exploration, and setting of the game, so overlooking the multiplayer content is understandable.
