Fortnite players have plenty to digest with the recent switch to a new season, but the slew of content is not slowing down, and one of the greatest collabs of all time is poised to return.
Epic Games has become renowned for huge collabs bringing a host of different franchises into the game, and while this has become a core part of the Fortnite model, it wasn’t always that way.
In fact, there is one event in particular that can be seen as a turning point, and Fortnite is teasing its return.
Fortnite Avengers Collab Returning to OG

Fortnite OG Season 8 launches on April 1, rolling back the years to bring Chapter 1, Season 8, into the limelight once again, and a popular limited-time mode has been teased for a return.
Way back in 2019, Fortnite had a huge Avengers: Endgame crossover event in Season 8, with a game mode that split players into two teams: Avengers and Chitauri. Now, Fortnite has teased its return.
In a post on social media, with the target date of April 3, Fortnite’s official Twitter account posted an image of Brite Bomber holding Captain America’s shield, while the post had the tagline of ‘Whatever it takes’.
This confirms that the popular Endgame LTM mode is poised to return this week, rolling back the years to arguably Fortnite’s greatest-ever collab.
In the LTM, the Avengers team had to eliminate 150 Chitauri enemies to disable their respawn ability, before then wiping them out, and Thanos, while the Chitauri goal was to collect all the Infinity Stones, and then eliminate all the Avengers enemies.
By collecting Infinity Stones, players on the Chitauri team transformed into Thanos, who was equipped with a punch ability, a beam attack, and another attack to slam into the ground from the air.
Both teams also had special weapons at their disposal, including Captain America’s Shield, Hawkeye’s Bow, Iron Man’s Repulsors, Thor’s Stormbreaker, the Chitauri Laser Rifle, and the Chitauri Energy Launcher.
Fortnite’s Avengers: Endgame collab and LTM paved the way for other huge collabs to follow, which have now become a mainstay in the game, and rolling it back this week is sure to attract heaps of players.

That does not help Fortnite. Disney and Tim Sweeney killed Fortnite. The biggest thing reccently and most Gen Z was Playboi Carti why not do more of that over boring crap like this no one liked except maybe 40 year olds that still watch and like the awful MCU. Add Ye and Lil Wayne actual cool 40 year olds that never age and never will, Chief Keef, NBA YoungBoy, Lil Uzi Vert, Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby, Soulja Boy, Future, they would actually generate hype. For nostalgia Cartoon Network City and that 90’s and early/mid 2000’s Cartoon Network, Toonami, Miguzi, Kids WB, 4KidsTV/Fox Box, all that and Fusion Fall as a mode. But instead they do crap like this because Tim Sweeney and Disney.
