Embark Publishes Preview Post For ARC Raiders Riven Tides Map

Embark Studios has collated all the teasers sent for Riven Tides, the new large-scale update coming to ARC Raiders in just ten days. It’s the biggest update to hit the extraction platform since the game came out at the end of October, and it’s almost guaranteed to bring a stack of hype back to the title.

In the new post published by Embark Studios, we see a detailed ‘scout report’ that outlines exactly what points of interest the map will contain, along with a bit of a backstory about the environment.

New ARC Raiders Map Coming in Ten Days

Embark Studios has published a bit of lore regarding the next major ARC Raiders map, dropping in ten days with the Riven Tides update:

Shani’s been telling stories of an old first wave refuge along the coast. A place we abandoned years ago, when there were too many vulnerabilities. Exposed to attacks from the water, but trapped there if surrounded from the West. I get the sense it hurt them when they had to leave.

She told me there was a hotel. That’s something akin to an accommodation block – but from what I gather, more. A swimming pool, bars, a place where people would dance.

And down the coast, a dockyard. It had something to do with the Exodus. She called it a… stain on the horizon. Shani’s an old-head, clearly got some resentment about whatever went down here.

Shani said I could have backup, but I told her I didn’t need it. It sounded like a good idea, and I thought I’d find a few things for myself along the way. Was only planning on a perimeter sweep but the place drew me in. There’s a story here – one that bleeds out of the cliffs, flows down the dried-up riverbed and into the ocean. But the tides just keep bringing it back… like an old grudge.

In recent weeks, Embark has been sending emails with snippets of information about Riven Tides, including Polaroid-style shots that have outlined some key points of interest:

  • The ‘Exodus Hotel’, named Panorama Azzurro
  • The beachfront resort, complete with a dried-out pool and bar
  • Customs House, along with a ‘stacking yard’ full of containers and a dock area

Something in the new map facilitated the Exodus effort that saw humanity head for the stars when the ARC enemies first arrived on Earth. There’s plenty yet to uncover there, and more will be revealed when Riven Tides lands on April 28th.
