After fan feedback, cross-progression is finally coming to Marvel Rivals with Season 5.
Marvel Rivals is in the middle of its fourth season, which introduces Angela and Daredevil to the roster. Called “The Heart of the Dragon”, players get access to a new map, modes, and continued support for the title. Since its release in December 2024, however, there has been one fan-requested feature that, after discussion, will finally be added in Season 5: cross-progression.
Marvel Rivals’ Cross-Progression Launches In Season 5
In a Developer Vision posted on Marvel Rivals’ YouTube, creative director Guangguang revealed that cross-progression is coming to the title. However, it won’t be added until Season 5, which will likely launch later this year. Still, a select few players will get to try out the feature during Season 4.5. This means that, for some, they’ll be able to transfer their stats to another console and play on whatever they want.
When it becomes available, you have to link your accounts to the game, like your PlayStation Plus or Steam account. Guangguang also states that, while you’ll be able to play across multiple platforms, your rank and leaderboard positions will differ with each device. Still, for many who don’t stick to one console, you’ll be able to continue your progress wherever you want without restarting. Since launch, fans have been asking for the feature to be added. While it is going to be with Season 5, it’s good to know that the team was listening and it won’t be long until it’s ready.
