The developers of Invincible VS have revealed how they are dealing with rage quitting in the soon-to-be-released fighting game. The game recently wrapped up an open beta, and although it was so well-received that it was extended, they also received feedback on the earliest matches and what they called “a storm of Rage Quits.”
The latest notes following the beta discuss the feedback they received from players and outline what they will do going forward to address the amount of rage-quitting.
Fixes to Rage Quitting in Invincible VS
For starters, in order to address future rage-quitting issues, disconnecting during a ranked match will cost players League Points. Furthermore, they’re looking at ways to keep those who frequently quit matches out of the ranked queue. They also say they are working with Quarter Up to implement a cooldown penalty, targeting the first major post-launch patch.
“If you’re reading this and were guilty of a rage quit or two during the beta…we get it. Ranked was the system we most needed to stress test, but we also know that meant players who wanted to explore at their own pace (or who are new to fighting games entirely) didn’t have a good way to do that,” they said.
Additional fixes include fewer ghost players in matchmaking queues. Also, a majority of issues that caused the abated to crash have been fixed. Moving forward, they’re excited for further announcements regarding roster inclusions leading up to the release on April 30.
The developers say Invincible VS is for everyone, and they hope the wide variety of game modes will let all players try it out and develop their skills along the way.
