Hollow Knight: Silksong Already Has Countless Mods Making The Game Easier

It’s fair to say that Hollow Knight: Silksong is not an easy game. Its bosses can leave you stuck in a perpetual loop of attempts and failure, and even normal mobs can regularly take you down if you’re not careful. This is why Hollow Knight: Silksong mods are spreading like the plague to help everyone out.

The Warding Bell is a great example of an item designed to make your life easier in Silksong. Will it stop you from dying constantly? Not really. Silksong can be a brute. Its platforming sections can be exhausting—especially if you’ve encountered the Red Flowers and Hunter’s March.

This is why the community has already rallied to create Silksong mods.

Nexus Mods already has a growing collection of Hollow Knight: Silksong Mods. Some of the most-downloaded packs include mods that show a boss’ health bar, that stop you from taking more than one mask’s worth of damage from a hit, and the ability to make Hornet do more damage by default.

Outside of combat, certain mods also enable you to have the Compass permanently equipped (freeing up a slot) and a constant magnet effect drawing Rosary Beads and Shards into you.

The original Hollow Knight was tough. In this scenario, Silksong’s player count is outrageous and has attracted hundreds of thousands of additional players because of the hype. Many are only now realizing how tricky Silksong can be—hence the discourse about difficulty.

These mods should give you an option to lessen the difficulty if you’re struggling. What do you think, should all games have difficulty settings and accessibility options for those who want to enjoy the story without dying constantly? It’s always a hot topic, and one you can take to the Insider Gaming forum.
