Helldivers 2 Developers Want To Make Game More Challenging

Helldivers 2 developers have recognised that players want more challenge added to the gameplay, and they are exploring ways to achieve this.

Helldivers 2 Players Think the Game isn’t Challenging Enough

Spotted by GamesRadar+, a community member on the official Helldivers Discord expressed his concerns about the game not being challenging enough. The player inquired whether there were plans to add “higher difficulties” or more challenging enemies, as currently, there aren’t many enemies that feel threatening or difficult to tackle. They also mentioned that the Leviathan had a massive threat level; however, even that was decreased when the ragdoll effect was removed.

Katherine “Baskinator” Baskin, the community manager at Arrowhead Game Studios, addressed the concern about Helldivers 2 not being challenging enough. Baskinator stated that they cannot reveal the “exact plans”, but the developers “are looking for ways to provide more challenge to players.” This message doesn’t clearly explain how developers will tackle this, but it’s good to know they are exploring ways to accomplish it.

Helldivers 2 is set to release on Xbox Series X/S on August 26, and ahead of its release, the developers should incorporate all the community feedback before a new wave of players arrives. Also, Arrowhead recently confirmed that they are ‘definitely not‘ putting Helldivers 2 on Game Pass, and there are no plans to do so either.
