The Helldivers 2 team has confirmed that there are currently ‘no plans’ to release the game on Xbox Game Pass.
For those wondering, just yesterday, Arrowhead Game Studios came in with some shocking news, confirming Helldivers 2’s release date for Xbox Series X/S. After being exclusive to PlayStation and PC for over a year, players will finally be able to fight for democracy on Xbox consoles as well. This announcement had many wondering whether the game would be available on Game Pass, and now Arrowhead has revealed that it’s not.
‘Definitely Not’ Coming 2 Game Pass, Helldivers 2 Community Manager Confirms
As soon as the release date for Helldivers 2 on Xbox was announced, many players began to wonder whether they should pre-order the game or wait for a possible Game Pass announcement. However, Arrowhead has clarified the situation. Spotted by Video Gamer, Arrowhead’s Community Manager, Baskinator, confirmed on the game’s official Discord that Helldivers 2 is “definitely not” coming to Game Pass, and there are currently “no plans” to do so.
Helldivers 2 Xbox Pre-Order Bonus and Game Editions
Currently, players can pre-order two editions of Helldivers 2, Standard and the Super Citizen Edition. Pre-ordering any edition before August 26 will reward players with three armour sets: ‘TR-7 Ambassador of the Brand’, ‘TR-62 Knight’ and TR-9 Cavalier of Democracy’.
The Super Citizen Edition comes with even more bonuses, including ‘DP-53 Savior of the Free’ Armour Set, ‘Will of the People’ Cape, MP-98 Knight’ Weapon, Super Citizen Status, Stratagem Hero Ship Game and a Premium War Bond token.
