The Helldivers 2 Review Bomb cape’s release might be around the corner, as an image of this highly anticipated cosmetic has been datamined in the latest patch.
The Helldivers 2 review bomb cape is one of the most sought-after cosmetics in Arrowhead’s third-person shooter, thanks to the massive history and the iconic fight for democracy behind it. The developers had recently teased that cape when PlayStation lifted its regional restrictions for the title, and the new datamine hints that it could be closer than ever.
Helldivers 2 Review Bomb Cape is called Pillars of Freedom Cape

Spotted by Rock Paper Shotgun, the Helldivers 2 Review Bomb cape was datamined by leaker IronS1ghts through the game’s latest patch. The cape has been dubbed ‘Pillars of Freedom’, and the description reads, “Woven in honor of our loyal Helldivers, whose heart’s blood is the foundation on which Super Earth is built.” The image of this cape looks very similar to the one Johan Pliestedt teased a year ago.
For those wondering about the new patch, it features general weapon and bug fixes. Moreover, the developers have heard the feedback and are “attempting to balance Leviathans to more manageable levels.”
Most fans know about the saga behind the Helldivers 2 Review Bomb Cape. For those who are unaware, Helldivers 2 suffered massive review bombing close to launch when Sony forced players to link their PSN accounts and restricted the title in several regions. The graph started going up again as soon as these restrictions were removed. During this time, fans drew a cape that reflected the ups and downs.
In other news, Helldivers 2 brings in around 2.5 million players every week. What are your thoughts on Helldivers 2’s review bomb cape being datamined in the new patch? Let us know below and join the official Insider Gaming forums discussion.
