In a recent quick-fire Q&A, the developers at Semiwork answered fifty questions, not all of which were entirely serious. They were discussing REPO, their stellar title that has stormed to success (and stayed there) since its release back in February. Right now, REPO is one of the highest-rated Steam games ever.
The less serious questions put to the team were probably the best of the bunch, and my favourite came in the form of a request to add kissing and hand-holding.
‘Do You Love Me?’
There are some serious takeaways from the recent Q&A with the Semiwork team behind REPO, an electric game that’s entertaining millions of players worldwide. For instance, the team is considering an outdoor map, wants to add laser security modules to the museum, and plans to tweak monsters further beyond Update 1.
They also revealed that ‘potato mode’ graphics options aren’t entirely possible as ‘dynamic shadows are core to the game.’
In the ‘Cosmetics & Expressions’ portion of the Q&A, the team answered a cracking question: “Will you add kissing and touching hands into REPO?”
To which the team said:
No need — you can already kiss (do a kiss sound and slam your head into your friend) and hold a hand (grab the hand valuable in the museum) in-game.
It was also confirmed that a twerk emote won’t happen in REPO because the team is ‘unsure the semibots have enough junk in the trunk for that one!’
The Q&A went on to declare that the team has drunk enough water to fill a swimming pool in its collective lifetime, Pontus ‘looks sexy 24/7’ because it’s part of his role requirement, and that in response to a ‘Do you love me’ question, the answer was simply, ‘Yes.’
Things got serious again as the Q&A wrapped, with the team praising itself for the great work on Update 1 in REPO:
It’s our trickiest patch yet—huge invisible fixes plus a brand-new level, public matchmaking, and loads of tasty additions.
