Meta and Xbox appear set to expand their relationship with a new hardware announcement. According to a new report, Meta will be announcing an Xbox-branded version of their Meta Quest 3S virtual reality (VR) headset.
Per Kevin Lopez of Game Sandwich, the Xbox Quest 3S will be announced on Tuesday, June 24.
The device will reportedly cost $399 and include an Xbox-themed black and green headset with matching accessories such as an Xbox wireless controller and an Elite Strap. It’ll also include 3 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Like the original Meta Quest 3S, it will have the same 128GB of storage.

Despite the recent reliability of the source of the information, it should still be taken with a grain of salt until officially announced or independently verified by Insider Gaming. Lopez, however, did have information regarding Deadpool VR’s announcement at Summer Game Fest and the release date of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4.
Insider Gaming has reached out to Microsoft and Meta for comment on the report. As of writing, no responses have been received.
An Xbox-branded VR headset would come just weeks after the announcement of the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X handhelds. Those devices, along with this headset, would continue the company’s “This is an Xbox” mission. Earlier this week, Xbox and AMD also announced a multi-year partnership to work towards letting gamers play their games no matter the device.
