The Nintendo Switch 2 has had an excellent launch. It’s sold millions of units, boasts a strong launch title, with more to come, and the community is lapping up all things Switch 2. The 20.1.5 June 18 update is looking to improve things further, and we have the full patch notes.
The Switch 2 is Nintendo’s newest generation of console. While it doesn’t get an overhauled name like its predecessors, it’s bigger and better in almost every way. Still, it’s not perfect, and there are ways to improve the device. This is where the 20.1.5 update looks to provide a handy upgrade.

To be honest, the patch notes only indicate one change to the Nintendo Switch 2 device—improved system stability.
We’re not sure what this entails, but I imagine it will ensure the console runs smoother, performance remains solid across the board (from games to menu screens), and the likelihood of system crashes and unforeseen errors is lower.
It’s not the biggest and most extensive update the console will ever see. Still, it shows Nintendo is on the job.
