Epic Games Reveals LEGO Fortnite Expeditions, 4-Player PVE Mode

Epic Games has lifted the lid on the new LEGO Fortnite Expeditions mode, revealing all the details ahead of the June 18 launch.

LEGO Fortnite Expeditions is set around the Supernova Academy, offering four-player cooperative PVE missions in a brand-new experience with the quest of stopping the evil Mask Maker Daigo.

Players will undertake missions to take down enemies appearing in waves, with citizens to rescue, chests to loot, and secrets to find, with three locations at launch; Utopia City, Spire Excavation Site, and Busted Bridge.

The reveal also teased that there is more to come post-launch, with Demon’s Domain and the Supernova Academy set to arrive in a future update.

Completing missions helps to advance global Team Projects, unlocking buffs that apply to all players and providing new missions to complete.

LEGO Fortnite Expeditions has three classes to choose from at launch, which can be changed at any time, with each class having an individual level to grow.

Shadow Caller, The Hunter, and Rift Ripper are the three classes available, with Hero Upgrades obtained by levelling up each class—some of which offer unique upgrades.

LEGO Fortnite Expeditions can be accessed directly from the Odyssey or Brick Life modes, via a Battle Bus Station, while Odyssey will have enemies from Expeditions arriving in the mode in July.

Once the update is available, weapons from Expeditions are craftable in Odyssey, with Hero Classes arriving in the future.

Although build items won’t work in Expeditions, the mode supports any owned Outfit with a LEGO Style.
