Arrowhead Game Studios’ CEO has confirmed that they are looking into the Helldivers 2 Review Bomb Cape, and there’s a chance that players might finally acquire this highly anticipated cosmetic.
A significant development has occurred, and it seems the Helldivers 2 Review Bomb Cape might be closer than ever. PlayStation recently removed purchase restrictions in regions that don’t have PSN, allowing players to purchase Helldivers 2 and other first-party PlayStation games more than 100 countries. To commemorate this occasion, Arrowhead Studios might provide players with the cosmetic they have been waiting for.
Helldivers 2 Players Might Finally Receive the Review Bomb Cape

Spotted by GamesRadar+, after the purchase restrictions were lifted, Arrowhead CEO, Shams Jorjani, was asked about the Review Bomb cape on the game’s official Discord. Jorjani stated that he will “talk to the team next week”, however, they have “always felt it was something to give away once regions returned.” Jorjani added that PlayStation has been working hard to remove these restrictions “so a cape to celebrate is in order.”
Speaking about the purchase restrictions being lifted, Jorjani also stated that “it would be nice” if players would change their reviews as a result of this, but he doesn’t want to force them. He explained, “it’s a point of pride for the team to see their hard work recognized with a higher user review score.”
For those in the unknown, Helldivers 2 faced a massive review bombing campaign at the start of 2024 when Sony forced players to link their PSN accounts and blocked the game in regions without PSN. Once Sony removed this mandate, players started removing their negative reviews, which resulted in the game being positively reviewed again.
During this time, the fans created a Review Bomb cape for Helldivers 2, which showed the graph going from negative to positive. Developers stated they would consider releasing it as an official cosmetic for the game. However, that day did not come.
