During a recent stream, Rob Wiethoff, best known for his portrayal of John Marston in the Red Dead Redemption world, teased an ‘exciting’ update coming in the next week. He was elated during the stream, stressing that he won’t be the only one sharing the news and that it’s ‘all he can think about’ right now.
Fans have been quick to dive into Wiethoff’s cryptic statement, with many believing it’s a next-gen overhaul for Red Dead Redemption 2, which has been on the cards for a while.
‘That’s All I Can Say’
In a recent clip captured from Rob Wiethoff’s stream and shared by F4D3broboi on the Red Dead Redemption subreddit, the voice of John Marston said:
I got such exciting news. I can’t share it with you right now. It’s absolutely killing me.
By the end of this week, hopefully sooner – not as soon as tomorow, but definitely before Friday. Oh, my goodness! The news that I have to share, and I won’t be the only one sharing it, I cannot wait for you to know what’s going on.
And that’s all I can say. That’s all I can think about right now.
You will know soon enough. I am so excited, I truly cannot think about anything else, especially playing this game, other than I want to tell you something so bad.

Some fans were sceptical about Wiethoff’s outburst, with some suggesting his enthusiasm doesn’t sound entirely authentic, as though he’s building up for an announcement that isn’t ‘all that important’.
Most recently in the news, Red Dead Redemption 2 surfaced after claims emerged of an impending Switch 2 release and an incoming update that would bring the game up to 60 FPS (with more enhancements) on current-gen consoles.
