Ghost of Yotei’s Female Protagonist Will be Partially Nude & Drink Sake

Ghost of Yotei’s ESRB rating confirms that the female protagonist will visit Hot Springs and drink Sake.

Ghost of Yotei ESRB Rating Confirms the Return of Hot Springs

Sucker Punch’s upcoming title, Ghost of Yotei, has been rated M by ESRB for “Blood and Gore, Drug Reference, Intense Violence, Language, Partial Nudity, Use of Alcohol”. The rating confirms that Ghost of Yotei will have its protagonist visiting the popular Hot Springs, mentioning “a female character’s exposed buttocks is depicted in a hot spring”. Hot Springs were essential locations in Ghost of Tsushima, allowing players to reflect on Jin Sakai’s past and receive increased maximum health. Now, players will reflect on Atsu’s past in these hot springs.

Ghost of Yotei Will Have A Sake Mini-Game

Ghost of Yotei’s ESRB rating confirms another new feature for the title, consuming Sake. The rating states that players can “purchase and consume sake throughout the game, resulting in screen-blurring effects”. Players also have a drinking game to look forward to, where Atsu will give the locals a run for their money.

The ESRB rating for Ghost of Yotei provides some additional details. The game’s open world will feature several activities, including interacting with characters, hunting bounties, battling enemies in duels and melee-style combat, and more. Players can access katanas, spears, bows and rifles as weapons. There’s a lot of gore too, including decapitation, dismemberment, blood splatter, neck stabbing and sword impalement.

Moreover, details about violent cutscenes were revealed, including scenes about “characters burned at the stake; a man repeatedly stabbed with a knife; a character slitting their own throat”.

In other news, Ghost of Yotei’s gameplay deep dive will arrive next month. Also, check out new VIP Bots for Astro Bot, inspired by Sucker Punch’s upcoming title.
