Team Asobi has no plans to stop supporting Astro Bot, as the game is set to receive new levels and VIP bots.
Astro Bot remains a remarkable success story. At the 2025 BAFTA Games Awards, it claimed five awards, including Best Game. This comes after it won Game of the Year at the 2025 DICE Awards and was also named the Insider Gaming Community’s Game of the Year winner.
Since launching in 2024, the game has received several free updates. In October, five speed running levels were added. Then, in February, Astro Bot added five free levels and special bots. This upcoming update follows that same formula and introduces a few new levels.
Astro Bot Set to Add Five New Levels

At the 2025 Summer Game Fest, Team Asobi revealed that five new challenge levels are coming later in June, bringing the total to 90 planets to explore.
We only got a short preview of the five levels; Team Asobi kept a few surprises for players to discover for themselves when the update gets released.
New special bots are being added as well, including Atsu from Ghost of Yotei, and other characters. The development team also announced an exclusive DualSense wireless controller, which is scheduled to arrive later this year.
Team Asobi teased that there is a twist with the new controller, but wouldn’t reveal what it was.
