Fortnite isn’t pulling the brakes on the Star Wars-themed Galactic Battle season anytime soon and two fan-favorite characters are poised to arrive.
Last week’s move to Chapter Six Season Three was just the start of a month-long adventure in a galaxy far, far away, which will see weekly content updates introduce new characters, quests, abilities, and more.
It all culminates in a battle to destroy the Death Star when the season ends on June 7, but don’t get ahead of yourself, as there’s plenty on the cards in the meantime—starting with the arrival of Mace Windu and Darth Maul to the Island.
New Force Abilities and Lightsabers are arriving, including Windu’s iconic purple Lightsaber, so keep your eyes peeled for holograms of Windu and Maul waiting across the island to teach you the two new Force Abilities.

The major headline from the update on May 8 is the arrival of Mace Windu, making his Fortnite debut, and he’ll teach you the Force Pull ability and hand over his trusty purple Lightsaber if you find his hologram—and the Mace Windu skin is also due to arrive in the Item Shop.
If you prefer the dark side of the force, seek out Darth Maul and learn the Force Push ability, which can destroy enemy builds. Unlike Windu, this isn’t Maul’s Fortnite debut, as the skin was first released in May 2023, but expect the bundle to return to the Item Shop if you missed out.
New Story Quests are also due later this week, along with the customary weekly quests on Friday, providing even more XP to earn as you push to complete the Battle Pass. Remember, this season is shorter than normal, so make sure you don’t miss out on anything.
As mentioned, this is the first of Fortnite’s weekly updates during the Galactic Battle season, with future weeks introducing Luke Skywalker and providing a General Grievous skin to unlock for those who own the Battle Pass.
