A new XBOX announcement confirms that players can grab PC versions of select Ubisoft console games they own at no additional cost.
XBOX recently announced an expansion of its partnership with Ubisoft in two main areas. First, they will be adding premium editions and selected add-on content for a variety of Ubisoft titles available on XBOX for PC. Secondly, they will offer free PC versions of console games that users already own.
List of Ubisoft Games That Have Free XBOX Console to PC Offer
The latest announcement for Ubisoft and XBOX’s expanded partnership comes through a post on XBOX Wire. The new add-on content and premium editions will focus on popular games such as Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Skull and Bones, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Additionally, it will include fan favorites from the Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew, and Watch Dogs franchises, among others.
Players will be able to access Ubisoft games on PC through Xbox’s console-to-PC offer at no additional cost via Ubisoft Connect, provided they already own the game on an Xbox console. However, it’s important to note that this offer does not apply the other way round; if you own the PC version, you cannot obtain a free console version. Additionally, players can transfer the edition and DLC content from console to PC without extra charges. However, consumable items, such as in-game currency and one-time-use content, cannot be transferred.
