The Witcher 3: Remastered update has helped the title reach a new all-time player peak on Steam.
CD Projekt’s Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been a hot topic ever since the developers announced a brand new DLC for the game after a decade since the game’s release. What’s exciting is that another update arrived ahead of the Songs of the Past expansion, bringing brand new visuals and gameplay additions to 2015’s Game of the Year.
The Witcher 3 Hits New Player Peak on Steam Thanks to Remastered Update
If you check SteamDB right now, you’ll see that the remastered update for The Witcher 3 has helped the game reached a new peak of 116,626 players just moments ago (at the time of writing). This number is continuing to rise, and it’s only day one of the release on a Tuesday. There’s a possibility that the peak could increase even more over the weekend. For context, the last peak was achieved in 2019, which also exceeded 100,000 players when Netflix’s The Witcher series was released.

The Witcher 3 Remastered update adds a whole bunch to the base game, including features like Upgraded Visuals, enhanced combat, a new adaptive camera in combat, improved traversal & movement, New Witcher signs FX, revamped horse handling, Enhanced monster behaviors, a skill tree revamp, expanded photo mode, and so much more. Players are also receiving the previous DLCs at no cost, and with Songs of the Past coming in 2027, there’s a lot to play before The Witcher 4.
