With E3 seemingly going the way of the dodo, gamers have been looking for a new gaming event for all of the summer’s major gaming news and information. Created by Geoff Keighley, Summer Game Fest has been around 2020 when everything was shut down during the early days of the Covid 19 pandemic. Now, as the event heads into it’s fifth iteration, Summer Game Fest become the marquee gaming event of the summer, but when exactly is it happening in 2024?
When is Summer Game Fest 2024?
This year, Summer Game Fest 2024 is set to take place on Friday, June 7 at 5pm EST / 2pm PT / 10pm GMT.
As always, the event will be hosted by Keighley himself, and feature “new video game announcements, first-looks and trailers” from a number of publishers and studios, both big and small.
Last year’s event saw updates for games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Mortal Kombat 1, and even the first reveal of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Sonic Superstars. Based on the precedent, fans should expect even more major reveals for the 2024 edition of the show.
One thing to note is that Nintendo wasn’t a part of 2023’s Summer Game Fest. Instead, they held their own event around the same time. It’s unclear if that’ll be the case once again, or if Nintendo will take part with other members of the gaming industry.

Watching events like Summer Game Fest 2024 has never been easier. Those who wish to watch it live, will be able to do so via various channels such as the event’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.
