Get ready to have a bad time. Undertale is coming to Rift of the Necrodancer.
Announced during Thursday’s Triple I Initiative Showcase, the music from Undertale is coming to the rhythm title. Available starting today on Steam, songs from the game, including the classic Megalovania, will be front and center in your battles.
First released on Steam in February 2025 before coming to Nintendo Switch a month later, Rift of the Necrodancer sees you play a Cadence, who’s been brought into a strange new world. On your journey, you’ll engage in musical combat with monsters that all have unique behaviors to throw you off your groove.
Features of the game include music battles with scaling difficulty, global leaderboards, custom music, boss battles, and minigames. There’s also a Remix mode that mixes up the beatmaps on every playthrough to keep the game feeling fresh on subsequent runs.
As far as Undertale, it was released back in 2015. Since then, it has grown to be one of the most beloved titles of the last 10+ years. The game sees you play as a human who’s fallen into the underground and has to find their way out in a world full of monsters and dangers.
