Subnautica 2 is closing in on an all-time peak of 500,000, leaving the previous game’s number in the dust. It has also sold over a million copies on its first day.
The game has already been released in early access, and Insider Gaming’s review of the game is already out. The developers have also provided their early-access roadmap, along with future content plans. With all the hype, the game is managing to bring together players from across the globe.
Subnautica 2 Crosses All-Time Peak of 450,000
At the time of writing, Subnautica 2’s peak early-access player count is 453,445. The number is nearly 8 times higher than in the previous game, with the original title peaking at 51,156 players around 8 years ago. It just goes to show the interest players have in the Subnautica sequel, with players flooding in for the early access launch.
Moreover, a new announcement from the official Subnautica account on X (formerly Twitter) reveals that the game has already surpassed 1 million copies in just a day since its release. The game is only available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and on Xbox Series X/S via Game Preview and Game Pass. At the moment, the release window for other platforms hasn’t been revealed by Krafton and Unknown Worlds Entertainment.
