Star Fox fans have been wanting something new to fly for a while. In the unexpected Star Fox Remake, you get this. Nintendo has commissioned a fully fledged remake of Star Fox 64, and we now know its release date and landing time.
If you owned a Nintendo 64 growing up, chances are you played Star Fox 64 in some capacity. The legendary on-rails shooter not only flew Fox McCloud into the mainstream, but gave Nintendo another hit in the console’s unbelievable period of games. It’s back, in 2026, this time as the Star Fox Remake.

When is Star Fox Remake Coming Out? Release Date, Explained
The Star Fox Remake is due to arrive on June 25, 2026.
It’s a quick turnaround from Star Fox being announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and the game’s full release date. I’d like to say the announcement was a complete surprise, but we heard rumblings that Star Fox was returning in Summer 2026 a while ago.

This was made official not long after, and we’ve been treated to gameplay since. It looks good, it looks fun, and it looks like Star Fox, baby!
Star Fox Remake 2026 Start Times
We anticipate the Star Fox Remake to follow the pattern of most Nintendo first-party releases by releasing at 9 PM PT, on June 25, adjusting for time difference.
