Now that the Black Ops 1 and 2 ports are public knowledge, it’s time to find out when we can look forward to both games coming out on PS5 and when you can download them.
Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 were rated in Korea, which was cool. We all wondered when they would be announced, and eventually they were. The countdown is on until the release date for BLOPS 1 and BLOPS 2 again. What a time to be alive.

When are Black Ops 1 and 2 Ports Coming Out?

Treyarch has confirmed that the Black Ops 1 and 2 ports will be released in July 2026.
I wish I could narrow it down, unfortunately. Activision is remaining tight-lipped on the exact release dates for now, but unless there’s a delay, we are mere weeks away from both games getting another release, this time in 2026.

Black Ops 1 and 2 Port Differences Compared to Originals
From what dataminers have been able to gather, the PS4 and PS5 ports might include new 120 FPS graphical settings, new servers for online play, and new Black Ops 1 and 2 PlayStation Trophies.
RemasterRadar has provided a lot of information about the Black Ops 1 and 2 Ports so far.

They believe that while these are not remasters, both games will include new features and improvements over the original games.
- ‘New languages.
- PS5-enhanced flags (real improvements, likely a 120fps mode given the Warzone precedent).
- PS4 Pro flag on BO2 (documented Sony NEO flag).
- Modern PS4/PS5 PSN infra, NOT the dead PS3 servers.
- Fresh build (Everyone starts from scratch in multiplayer).
- New trophies.’
We’ll have to wait for the full launch to see if all of these alleged changes and updates are real, and if so, they are good reasons to buy each game again for the 37th time.
