Rockstar Games made many dreams come true by announcing a pre-order date for GTA 6. It’s the kind of thing that until it happens, you don’t believe it will. Well, you better believe it, and we’ve got details on how to pre-order GTA 6.
The day that the GTA 6 official box art was revealed was glorious. Stupendous. Made me want to rampage…but in a good way! The world is ready for Grand Theft Auto 6, and the world needs GTA 6. So, if you’ve put a nice little wad of cash aside for GTA 6, a pre-order is what you need.

When Can You Pre-Order GTA 6?
GTA 6 pre-orders finally go live on June 25, and you can start locking in your copy of the game from this point onwards.
On June 18, Rockstar Games delivered a quick update on X to let everyone know that pre-orders were coming.

Here’s the X message in full:
‘Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 25 on digital storefronts and at other select retailers.
Check out the official cover art, also available as downloadable artwork at http://rockstargames.com/VI.’
This means you’ll be able to pre-order on applicable storefronts, and there will probably be a slow rollout of pre-orders across all online and physical outlets across the world—it’s going to be hectic.

How to Pre-Order GTA 6
Like any pre-order, once the date goes live, you’ll be able to pre-order GTA 6 digitally by going to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series storefronts, or finding an online retailer that will stock it, confirming your purchase, and that’s it.
This will likely be the process for consoles:
- Decide if you’re buying GTA 6 on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S at launch.
- Go to the platform’s store from June 25.
- Search for GTA 6 or Grand Theft Auto 6.
- Click on the game.
- Purchase it—there could be more expensive editions to consider.
- Once you’ve done this, that’s it, you have GTA 6 pre-ordered.
- When the day comes, you will be able to preload GTA 6 to your console, ready to play for launch!
Remember, there is no GTA 6 PC version at launch.
Alternatively, if you’re not buying GTA 6 through your console’s store, retailers will be stocking GTA 6 because everyone will be stocking it.

If you have loyalty points elsewhere, that’s fine. It will be the same steps I’ve already outlined: Go to the online store (or go in-store if it’s available), confirm your purchase, and your pre-order will be secured.
