New STALKER 2 Gameplay Images Appear on Epic Games Store

Several new gameplay images have appeared on the Epic Games Store, alongside new “pre-order” imagery on the game’s social media pages like Facebook.

The new images were posted to Reddit/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours as a “leak”, but the subsequent update on the game’s social media pages suggests that this isn’t the case.

Although not much can be gathered from the new images, we do see that the game now has a new HUD. According to YouTuber antitosolV, gameplay could be shown “any minute”.

The new updates and rumours have led some players to believe that an impending announcement could be made at the Xbox Developer Direct on January 18. However, Xbox has not announced that the game will be there and instead has only revealed 1st party games.

It has been already announced that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will still be released on the Xbox Game Pass service from day one, leading some people to believe that a shadow drop could be likely.

At the time of publishing, STALKER 2 is set to be released in the early months of 2024, but the developers are yet to give. exact release date. The developers, GSC Game World, are mainly located in Ukraine and have found STALKER 2’s development difficult since the Russian invasion.

Gameplay has been showcased at events like Gamescom, though, suggesting that the game could be on schedule to release in its currently intended window.
