Xbox Developer Direct Announced for January 18

Xbox has officially announced the Xbox Developer Direct, which is set to take place on January 18.

It has been announced that several new games will be shown, including the new Indiana Jones game by ZeniMax Media, Avowed by Obsidian Entertainment, Studio, Ara: History Untold by Oxide Games, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 by Ninja Theory.

All the games have been announced to be released in 2024.

ZeniMax Media’s Indiana Jones was first teased in January 2021 and has already been confirmed to be an Xbox exclusive. You can read everything we know so far about Indiana Jones here.

Last year’s Xbox Developer Direct, which also took place in January included announcements from games including Minecraft Legends, Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and The Elder Scrolls Online. One of the biggest announcements to come from the Direct, though, was the announcement and shadow drop of Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush. Last year also included a dedicated Starfield Direct, which included a deep dive into the game.

Despite some unconfirmed rumors and the expectation that Xbox is set to shadowdrop another game, there have been zero reputable claims to support this.

It’s unclear whether or not the Xbox Developer Direct will address the recent rumors of games including Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves coming to other platforms.

Are you looking forward to the Xbox Developer Direct on January 18?

    • Fable should have been out too! If the game isn’t ready then cancel it. I guess they don’t want the problems from last gen to stick with them but this isn’t hard all they have to do is just fund a studio to make a game and one with a good record but they just don’t.
