Sonic X Shadow Generations Revealed At PlayStation State of Play

Sonic X Shadow Generations

The rumored Sonic Generations remaster has officially been revealed as Sonic X Shadow Generations during Wednesday’s PlayStation State of Play.

Alongside a reveal trailer, it was announced that the game will feature both versions of Sonic from the first game as well as Shadow sans gun. According to SEGA, Shadow will have his own special levels within the game to play in a new campaign developed for the new release.

“Shadow the Hedgehog is back and teaming up with Classic and Modern Sonic in Sonic X Shadow Generations, an all-new collection featuring two unique experiences,” the trailer’s description reads. “Play as Shadow the Hedgehog in a brand-new story campaign, and tackle iconic 2D and 3D stages as Classic and Modern Sonic in a newly remastered version of Sonic Generations.”

Despite being a remaster of a game released in 2011, SEGA’s additions to the game seem to suggest it’s a completely new game that simply builds upon the original release.

Sonic X Shadow Generations launches this fall for PS5 and PS4.

  1. The Shadow stuff just looks like frontiers just make a new Shadow game all they need to do is hire Platinum then make Team Dark a separate thing from Sonic I mean most of the boomer fans don’t even like the characters post Amy.
