Rockstar Games Teasing ‘Exciting’ GTA Online Summer Update

Rockstar Games has planned an exciting new update planned for GTA Online in Summer 2026.

There’s still a bit of time left until the most anticipated game of today’s day and age, GTA 6, releases. However, work on the previous title continues as we await the next mainline entry. It seems Rockstar has some surprises left for GTA Online before the world moves over to GTA 6 in November 2026.

Rockstar Discusses Upcoming Stuff for GTA Online

GTA Online’s exciting summer update was mentioned in Rockstar’s latest blog post. The new post features an “Upcoming Improvements and Adjustments” section, where the devs discuss how they are continually working to make GTA Online a better experience. This includes rebalancing and targeting cheaters and other players who negatively impact the game. The developers mentioned that the base payouts for certain jobs will increase next week.

Moreover, the developers are also adjusting vehicle prices and chasing down players who abuse vehicle resale exploits by limiting vehicle resale values. Towards the very end, Rockstar confirmed that this isn’t the end and there’s a lot more coming to GTA Online ahead of GTA 6’s release, “including a variety of special events and celebrations, along with an exciting new update this summer.” No other information on this update was revealed.

In other news, PlayStation 4 leads Xbox Series X in GTA Online users, with PC ranking last. Additionally, it was revealed that one GTA Shark Card transaction was worth $1 million in 2020.
