Resident Evil Requiem, the latest entry in the iconic survival horror series, will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside all other platforms on February 27.
While we already knew the release date for the upcoming game, this is the first time we have heard about it coming to the Switch 2, and on the same day as PlayStation and Xbox, which isn’t always a guarantee.
Resident Evil Requiem Coming to Nintendo Switch 2
Resident Evil Requiem stars Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, who is investigating the Wrenwood Hotel, the same location where her mother lost her life years prior. Of course, you can expect plenty of mutated monsters and other gross things to scare you throughout this adventure.
In the past, Resident Evil has solely focused on either a first-person or third-person view for players, but in Requiem, you can choose between either experience. If you enjoy the more in-your-face horrors or the classic approach, you can decide.
Also thrown in at the end of the Resident Evil Requiem trailer is that Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and Resident Evil Village will also be making the jump to Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day, February 27. These games previously came to the first Switch as janky cloud versions. Something tells us that, while that will make fans happy, they might be a little more preoccupied with Requiem.
This information was previously rumored, with Resident Evil 2 and 3 also included, though those games didn’t appear here.
As of this writing, we do not yet know if Resident Requiem, or the other games for that matter, will be available on regular cartridges or if they are included in the game key card category.
