The gloves are off in Pokémon Pokopia, as you have near enough free rein to create what you want. What better way to celebrate one of the best Pokémon games of all time than by paying homage to a classic Pokémon legend we all thought was true as a kid.
Pokémon games these days are more streamlined, and everything is so much simpler with guides littered all over the internet. But the boomers amongst everyone will remember a bygone era of relying on Nintendo magazines and primitive internet forums to decipher Pokémon myths and Easter Eggs—even that Mew one.
Pokémon Pokopia Player Recreates Iconic Mew Easter Egg

In the original Pokémon Red and Blue, Vermillion City isn’t just home to Lt. Surge and his army of electrical Pokémon; it also features the S.S Anne.
The seismic cruise ship takes players on a fun detour as you claim one of the game’s main HMs, and there are battles and bustling rooms and corridors full of action. However, on the pier near the boat is a truck.
An internet rumor arose that you could find a Pokémon missing from the game’s Pokédex…Mew.
The fact of the matter is that the truck is a non-interactable piece of scenery and nothing more. But a cruel rumor suggested the truck could be moved, and Mew was underneath: It’s not true at all. This hasn’t stopped one dedicated Pokémon Pokopia owner from recreating the famous myth.
On the Pokémon Pokopia subreddit, JoQsh suggested they had ‘found a weird truck by the S.S. Anne,’ and showed off their creation, featuring the ship, the truck, and a suspicious manhole cover next to the vehicle. If you go down it, you’ll find a door.
What’s behind the door? A sleeping Mew of all things.
