Pokémon Unite is coming to an end next year, with an official end of service date being revealed, bringing an end to the console and mobile title.
Released in July 2021, Pokémon Unite is a MOBA title putting players in control of a variety of Pokémon, with regular updates expanding the roster, and has maintained a presence in the competitive scene.
However, the lack of news regarding Pokémon Unite for the next year of competitive play raised concerns, and it’s now been confirmed the title will end on March 23, 2027, at 12 AM UTC.
Pokémon Unite Shutting Down March 2027
A statement read: “We offer our sincerest gratitude to the many Trainers who have played since service started for the Nintendo Switch version on July 21, 2021.”
The announcement also marks the start of a final event in the game, with the addition of the Unite Coin Exchange, allowing players to exchange coins for items that have appeared before, including Unite licenses, Holowear, Trainer fashion items, and more.
Additionally, a Library feature was announced that will allow players to visit the Practice Arena, as well as viewing items and achievements earned in game, even after the service ends.
It was added that the team is “also working on a way to look back at special memories you created with your Pokémon.”
The Library feature will launch on November 12 and an update must be downloaded between that date and the end of service on March 23, 2027, otherwise you won’t be able to utilize it.
