A new launcher has arrived for jailbroken PS5s that will let players run games from their Steam libraries.
Over the past couple of days, PS5 exploits have been on the rise, and players have already seen several new features being used with the jailbreak, including accessing games and DLC for free, making PS2 discs playable, and much more. The latest use makes your console as good as a PC.
Playden Lets You Run PC Games on a Jailbroken PS5
Spotted by Wccftech, Playden’s GitHub page explains how players can get Steam games running on their Jailbroken PS5s. Playden is a launcher for the PS5 where players will be able to sign in to their Steam account, browse their library, download games, and also play them. The games are running through a port of ‘Wine’ for PS5.
The dev explained that this is an Alpha Software and an experimental project that lets players sign in to their real Steam account, download games with their licenses, and read and write Steam Cloud Saves. Players can sign in via a QR code or by entering their account name and password.

Playden lets players queue games for download on their Jaibroken PS5, and each game gets its own app tile on the home screen. You can also tweak graphics, frame rate, resolution, controller mapping, and how the game starts. It features support for XInput, DirectInput, Raw Input, Windows.Gaming.Input, and the Windows multimedia joystick API, with rumble. The DualSense will be registered as an XBOX controller by those games, and players can also use a mouse and keyboard.
Players also have the option to import Windows game folders they already have using a USB drive, an M.2 SSD, or over FTP without needing a Steam account. The developer has also planned Steam game updates, support for other stores like GOG and Epic, support for Rockstar, EA, and Ubisoft game launchers, and community recipes in the preset chooser.
