Escape from Tarkov’s regular Halloween event draws near, and Battlestate Games is preparing to deliver something zombie-themed yet again. We don’t have much of a clue about what’s coming, but in a recent post on social media, Nikita Buyanov, the head of the studio at Battlestate Games, suggested it’s something big and surprising.
In the last day or so, Nikita has been drip-feeding images onto social media, teasing what’s coming in the inevitable Halloween event. It looks like it’s in Labs and it’s zombie-themed, but we all expected that!
Escape from Tarkov’s Halloween Spectacular Draws Near
Escape from Tarkov is pretty stellar when it comes to seasonal events. The team at Battlestate Games loves putting on a show, and throughout the year, several major events surface featuring in-game bosses, map rotations, and new loot items.
The Halloween period is no different. Every year, the team creates some admittedly incredible stories and enemies for players to contend with.
This year, it looks like we’re getting another Tarkov ‘zombies’ event, if Nikita’s latest posts are anything to go by. He has been uploading images showing what looks like the undead roaming The Lab, Escape from Tarkov’s most punishing map. It’s currently the site of an ongoing event featuring a new boss, Scourge, which might be building up to the grand Halloween event.
In his most recent post, Nikita wrote:
halloween event is getting prepared 24/7. Its pretty big and has a surprise for you guys. Hold on!
Escape from Tarkov was recently in the news when Battlestate Games rolled out a massive update to the game’s PvE platform. They updated how the AI behaves in PvE, making it more ‘realistic’ for players running into AI-driven PMCs, proving how invested they are in the ongoing evolution of PvE.
