The long wait for the next Pokémon Presents showcase in July is coming to an end, and we’ve got details on how to watch, when it begins, and what you can expect.
The Pokémon franchise continues to go strong heading into its 30th birthday next year, with nine generations of Pocket Monsters so far, a range of spin-off titles, and an established place in pop culture history.
Big things are on the horizon for Pokémon for the remainder of 2025 and beyond, which we’ll see details of in July’s Pokémon Presents showcase.
When is the Pokémon Presents July showcase?

The next Pokémon Presents showcase is set for Tuesday, July 22. It will air at 6 am PT/8 am CT/9am ET/2pm BST/11pm AEST.
An official runtime for the showcase has not been announced, although we can estimate the length based on previous streams. For example, the last Pokémon Presents in February clocked in at just over 19 minutes.
The timings do vary significantly, however, with the 2020 presentation running for just shy of 11 minutes, while the 2023 presentation was around 26 minutes long.
As a general estimate, expect the July Pokémon Presents showcase to range anywhere from 15 minutes to 25 minutes, though this is merely an estimate.
How to Watch the Pokémon Presents July Showcase
The Pokémon Presents July Showcase will be streamed on YouTube, though unlike presentations from other companies, it will not be live. Instead, it’s a pre-recorded show that premieres worldwide at the same time.
This allows for quicker translations for other languages and is the tried and tested format for Nintendo, who have a similar approach with their Nintendo Direct showcases.
Once the stream ends, it will remain available as a standard video that you can watch back at any time.
What to Expect From Pokémon Presents
The big upcoming title for the Pokémon Franchise is Pokémon Legends: Z-A, due to release on October 16, 2025, so expect to see more from the game. However, as we already saw a fair amount in the February presentation, including gameplay, it could just be a short story trailer, or showing off other features.
All eyes will be on other announcements from Pokémon, particularly with next year marking the 30th anniversary of the franchise. It’s widely expected that 2026 will see Gen 10 release, so could we see a first teaser for the next generation of Pokémon? It could happen, but if it does, don’t expect anything major, as that will likely be saved for Pokémon Day next year.
Other titles could be announced, however, with the Pokémon franchise having a wide array of spin-off titles, including Mystery Dungeon and Pokémon Snap. We could also see news of the next mainline remake, with Black & White next in line, but I’m holding out for a Johto remake of some sort to mark the 25th anniversary this year.
You can also expect an array of news for live-service games, including Pokémon TCG Pocket, Pokémon Go, Cafe Remix, Pokémon Unite, Pokémon Sleep, and Pokémon Masters EX, while we could hear more about the upcoming Pokémon Champions game.
