Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced the release date Pokémon Legends Z-A.
In an announcement on social media on Wednesday morning, Pokémon Legends Z-A will launch on October 16, 2025. That includes both the Nintendo Switch version along with the upgraded Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the game.
While the game will be the same on both platforms, the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Pokémon Legends Z-A will feature “improved graphics and frame rates”. Those who buy the game for the original Switch system will be able to upgrade either the physical or digital version of Pokémon Legends Z-A through an upgrade pack.
Along with the release date, the games official cover art was also show for the first time.

Lastly, in addition to the release date announcement, it was revealed that the next Pokémon Presents showcase will take place on July 22. No information on what the showcase entails was revealed at the time of the announcement.
