Since yesterday, we have seen a couple of people post videos on Nintendo Switch 2 units ahead of its June 5 release date.
Nintendo Switch 2 Unboxing Videos Are Being Posted
Spotted by Wario64, some players have acquired a Nintendo Switch 2 unit early and have already started posting videos about it on the internet. One player posted a YouTube short while using the upcoming console, and another released an unboxing video. However, Nintendo has been hard at work taking down all of these videos, and at the time of writing, they have been removed from YouTube.
The players have also provided more context, stating they cannot play any games on the Nintendo Switch 2 right now and will have to wait for release day. One of the players explained they tried adding a Switch 1 game to the console, and they received the message “Please connect to the internet and update your system.”
Another player was asked for additional videos on the Nintendo Switch 2 unit. However, they mentioned that the console has been locked and requires an update to function. He is currently waiting for June 5 to unlock it.
In other news, Nintendo Switch 2 will also support standard USB mice for certain games. Also, Nintendo Switch Online has announced new features for the Nintendo 64, including customisable controls, a CRT filter, and a Rewind option.
