Pokémon Pokopia Surpasses 5 Million Global Sales Milestone

New details on sales figures for Pokémon Pokopia have been shared, stating that the spin-off title has sold more than five million units globally.

Released in March, Pokémon Pokopia is flying the flag as the company’s major 2026 release, with Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves set to land in 2027, and new figures show it’s the second-best-selling Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.

Pokémon Pokopia Surpasses 5 Million Global Sales

As reported by BusinessWire, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company revealed that global sales figures for Pokémon Pokopia have surpassed the five million mark.

This places the title behind only Mario Kart World as the highest-selling Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, although that was a launch title which was bundled with the console, inflating its numbers.

The figures mean Pokopia has surpassed another Switch 2 exclusive, Donkey Kong Bonanza, and further sales of the Pokémon title are expected following the recent release of new DLC.

Part 1 of the Expansion Pass released earlier this month and is the first of three paid-for pieces of additional content, with a second coming later this year, and the third coming in 2027.

Regular updates have also been provided to Pokopia, including a free update adding the new Dive mechanic that arrived for all players alongside the release of the Bubbly Basin DLC area.

In terms of Pokémon spin-off titles, Pokopia is on course to become the best-selling spin-off of all time, overtaking Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red/Blue Rescue Team, which has a reported 5.85 million global sales.

Come the end of the year, it seems highly likely that Pokopia will have surpassed that figure, though the numbers are still significantly short of mainline Pokémon titles, including Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which is closing in on 9 million global sales.
