How to Make a Bubbly Basin Habitat Warmer in Pokémon Pokopia

A host of new content is available in Pokémon Pokopia with the addition of the Bubbly Basin location from the Expansion Pass, and some adjustments will be required to improve a Pokémon’s comfort level, including making their home warmer.

Pokémon Pokopia‘s Bubbly Basin location is found beneath the waves, meaning some of the previous mechanics you used to increase a Pokémon’s comfort level may not be applicable.

If you’ve got a Pokémon in Bubbly Basin asking you to make their home warmer, Insider Gaming has the details you need.

A Heat Rock is the best way to make a Habitat warmer in the Bubbly Basin area of Pokémon Pokopia, as it provides heat to a nearby area.

While it is a rare item in the game, Pokémon Pokopia offers ways to duplicate items to obtain more, though this will require costly resources like Poké Ingots.

The Heat Rock is among four special rocks in the game that adjust the nearby environment, alongside the Cold Rock, Damp Rock, and Smooth Rock.

Each of these is extremely useful for adjustments to a Pokémon’s Habitat, altering the temperature and humidity respectively.

Where to Get a Heat Rock in Pokémon Pokopia

The easiest way to obtain a Heat Rock in Pokémon Pokopia is to collect one from inside a Pokéball in a cave in the Bubbly Basin location.

From the gate entrance to Bubbly Basin, head into the main area where Popplio first takes you, and look for a cave on the right-hand side of the stairs. It should be easy to spot with black stone above and scaffolding pieces at the entrance.

Head inside to explore, and near the back of the cave there will be a Pokéball containing a Heat Rock, but this isn’t the only way to obtain the item.

You can take a photo of a Heat Rock and then create another using the 3D Printer, though this requires having already found one, or travelling to a Cloud Island that has one.

If you don’t already have a Heat Rock, they can also be obtained as a reward from trading with Gimmighoul or Gholdengo, though there are a variety of items available in this way, so it’s not guaranteed.
