Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC Announced Featuring Two Mega Raichus

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will receive DLC content, titled ‘Mega Dimension,’ it was announced during Nintendo Direct, featuring Hoopa and two Mega Raichu versions.

The Mega Dimension DLC will be available to purchase when Pokémon Legend: Z-A launches next month, but it doesn’t have a precise release date yet.

However, we do know the two big additions that will be coming in the DLC, with the teaser trailer unveiling two forms of Mega Raichu.

Pikachu’s evolution will become the third Pokémon to have two Mega Evolution forms, after Charizard and Mewtwo, with distinctive differences between the pair.

Mega Raichu X has two tails and crescent ears, while Mega Raichu Y has two large appendages on its head alongside its ears. The types of both versions were not announced.

Interestingly, Mega Raichu Y has a strong resemblance to Gorochu, a leaked evolution for Raichu that never was, and it will be interesting to see if the unreleased Pokémon served as true inspiration.

Raichu now joins a rare club of having featured in more than one ‘gimmick’ in the Pokémon franchise, having previously had an Alolan version released.

No release window has been shared for the Mega Dimension DLC in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but it is likely to be in 2026.

Check out the full trailer for the DLC below.
