PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro Are Set to Have Discounts Later This Week

A new leak has revealed that Sony is set to announce discounts for the PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro later this week.

That’s according to dataminer billbil-kun, who has revealed that the discounts will be a part of the annual Days of Play event, which is slated to return on May 28.

As outlined in the report, the discount will be the first time that the PlayStation 5 Pro will see a discount since its release.

PlayStation Discounts Galore

According to the report, the PlayStation 5 slim is set to see its biggest discount yet in Europe, and the PlayStation 5 Pro will see 50 euros off. You can see the full list of discounts below:

  • 100 euros discount on PS5 Slim consoles:
    • PS5 Slim Standard Edition Console (with disc drive): €449.99 instead of €549.99.
    • PS5 Slim Digital Edition Console (without disc drive): €399.99 instead of €499.99.
  • 50 euros off the PS5 Pro console : €749.99 instead of €799.99.
  • 50 euros off PSVR2 headsets : €399.99 instead of €449.99.
  • Selection of DualSense controllers at €54.99

In addition to the hardware discounts, the report also outlines that PlayStation Plus subscription will also see a considerable discount of up to 30%.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear on which discounts and by how much will be applied to other territories.

The discounts come at an interesting time for PlayStation, who have seemingly gone against the rest of industry in terms of its pricing (despite increasing it prices last year by a smaller %). The Nintendo Switch 2 price point shocked fans on its announcement earlier this year and Xbox followed suit announcing price increases for all of its hardware and some of its software moving forward.

As for PlayStation, this could be the last time we’ll see its hardware at a considerable discount, so if you’re in the market for one, it might be worth picking it up this week!
