Microsoft is Raising the Price for All Xbox Series Consoles, Accessories, And Games

Microsoft has confirmed that all Xbox Series consoles, games, and accessories will see a price increase starting today.

Xbox Series Consoles Prices Increased Globally

According to a report by IGN, Microsoft’s new pricing strategy for Xbox Series consoles, accessories, and games will arrive globally, whereas headsets will see an increase only in the United States and Canada. Moreover, in a statement to IGN, Microsoft stated that they understand “that these changes are challenging” and were made “with careful consideration given to market conditions and the rising cost of development.”

Here are the expected price increases for Xbox Series Consoles and Accessories in the US:

Xbox Series Consoles

  • Xbox Series S 512GB: Increased to $379.99 from $299.99
  • Xbox Series S 1TB: Increased to $429.99 from $349.99
  • Xbox Series X Digital: Increased to $549.99 from $449.99
  • Xbox Series X: Increased to $599.99 from $499.99
  • Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Special Edition: Increased to $729.99 from $599.99

Xbox Accessories

  • Xbox Wireless Controller (Core): $64.99
  • Xbox Wireless Controller (Color): $69.99
  • Xbox Wireless Controller – Special Edition: $79.99
  • Xbox Wireless Controller – Limited Edition: Increased to $89.99 from $79.99
  • Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 (Core): Increased to $149.99 from $139.99
  • Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 (Full): Increased to $199.99 from $179.99
  • Xbox Stereo Headset: $64.99
  • Xbox Wireless Headset: Increased to $119.99 from $109.99

A report from Eurogamer indicates that prices for Xbox Series consoles in Europe have also begun to increase, with one of the largest retailers, Micromania, raising the price of each console by approximately €50. The Xbox Series X is now priced at €599.99, up from €549.99, and the Xbox Series S 512GB has increased to €349.99 from €299.99.
